Cookie policy
Effective 17 September 2026. EU/UK ePrivacy and GDPR.
This site is static. We do not run advertising, analytics, or social pixels. Fonts are hosted with the site (no Google Fonts request). The banner on first visit records your choice on this device only.
What we store
| Name | Where | Duration | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
sg_cookie_consent_v1 |
localStorage (your browser) | 12 months | Remember whether you accepted or limited cookies, so we do not nag every page load | Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation to record consent) and strictly necessary storage under ePrivacy |
That item is not a HTTP cookie. Browsers treat it as local storage. You can delete it anytime (site data / this origin). After 12 months, or if you tap Cookie settings in the footer, the banner returns.
What we do not use
- No advertising cookies
- No first-party analytics cookies
- No retargeting, no embedded YouTube/Twitter widgets
- No “Accept all” extras today — both buttons currently enable the same essential storage. We keep two buttons so we can add optional tools later without surprising you.
Support form (FormSubmit)
Sending the support form POSTs to formsubmit.co (a third party) so the message can be emailed to us. That is not a cookie we set. FormSubmit may process the submission and may set cookies on their domain. See FormSubmit's privacy policy and our privacy policy (section 2a).
GitHub Pages (host)
Pages are served by GitHub. GitHub may process IP address, user-agent, and similar technical data as a processor/host, and may set its own cookies if you are logged into GitHub. We do not control those. See GitHub's privacy statement and GitHub cookies.
Legal basis for using a host that processes connection data: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a public website). You may object by not visiting the site.
Your choices
- Necessary only — essential consent record only.
- Accept — same set today; would include optional cookies if we add them later (we would update this table first).
- Cookie settings (footer) " show the banner again and change your mind.
Browser controls: block cookies/storage, or use a private window. Blocking storage may show the banner every visit.
Full GDPR rights (access, erasure, complaint to a DPA) are in the privacy policy.
