Photosensitivity. Stellar Girls includes flashing lights, sudden contrast, particle bursts, and rapid gem motion. A very small percentage of people may experience seizures or severe discomfort when exposed to certain visual patterns, even with no history of epilepsy. Stop immediately if you feel dizzy, nauseous, have altered vision, twitching, disorientation, or any seizure-like symptoms, and consult a doctor.

How to reduce risk

Play in a well-lit room. Sit a reasonable distance from the screen.
Use the in-game volume sliders if audio startles you. Lower brightness on the monitor if needed.
Take a 10–15 minute break every hour. Match-3 sessions can run long if you retry.
Do not play if you are extremely tired or recovering from a seizure unless a physician says otherwise.

Age and content

Stellar Girls is intended for mature players (target PEGI 16 / ESRB Mature). Founding characters are written as adults (21+). The game includes:

Suggestive romantic tension, flirting, jealousy, and vulnerability
Emotional stress, workplace pressure, and lineup/graduation themes
Mild language and dramatic interpersonal conflict

It is not explicit. It is also not for children. Do not share account access or play sessions with minors. Suggestive intimacy frames, if present in a build, stay behind an adult toggle and are never the default portrait set.

Mental wellbeing

Scenes can sit with loneliness, shame, rivalry, and saying goodbye. If that is heavy today, step out to Hub, save, and come back later. The game is fiction. Attachment to the cast is intended; it is not a replacement for rest, friends, or care.

Hardware comfort

Default launch is fullscreen. F11 toggles it. Esc opens the menu.
You can pick 1280×720, 1600×900, 1920×1080, or native resolution in Settings.
Play seated. The game is mouse-driven; no mandatory motion controls.
